Welcome to the Sure Start Berwick Borough web page, we hope you will find it useful, we have tried to give you a flavour of what is on offer through the programme, but we do need your comments and suggestions to help us develop a site that meets your needs. The next few pages will show you how each part of the programme operates, we will describe our two Children’s Centres, the work of our little play bus, and the services provided by our outreach teams, who can offer both individual and group activities across the Borough.
We cover a huge geographical area (over 980 square kilometers), which means many of our services have to be held at venues across the borough. We work with a large number of different partners, from the Northumberland Fire and Rescue services to the Health teams who work in the clinics and GP practices all over the Borough.
The website is one way to get information about our services out to the whole community, if you have an idea, or an opinion on one of the current services, or suggestions about how we could improve our services we need you to tell us. You can do that through e-mail (click on the e-mail links below) , by telephone, in person at any of the venues, or the children’s centre's or by post at the addresses shown. Please let us know your views, we are aiming to provide the best possible service to all children and families across the Borough, and your opinions and comments are vital. So if you want to share an idea, offer a suggestion, ask for more information, talk about becoming a volunteer, or put your child’s name down for a nursery place, just contact us, we are here to help
